Berkshire

The historic county of Berkshire is one of the oldest in England. The Thames runs along the northern border and the county is also home to the hilly Berkshire downs & many areas of woodland.
Larger towns to note in Berkshire include Reading, Didcot, Bracknell, Windsor, Slough, Maidenhead, Wokingham, Sandhurst and Hungerford.

Berkshire is known for Windsor Castle, Donnington Castle, Beale Park, Eton College and Legoland. Companies such as Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, Ericsson, Nintendo, Amazon.co.uk, Black and Decker and Vodafone, to name but a few, all have significant bases here.

Berkshire has train lines running from Paddington and Waterloo. Journey times are approximately 18-77 minutes in length.

Berkshire is linked to London by the M4 with easy access to both the M3, M25 & M40.

Surrounding counties are Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Wiltshire and Hampshire.
