FARNHAM is something of a refuge from Aldershot, having a lovely Georgian heart with the castle at its centre. People living anywhere between the two towns will always say they live in Farnham. The south side is more upmarket than the north. It has a country feel, even though it is very well-connected to London by train and the A3. A three-bedroom detached Thirties’ house in a quiet road will cost £600,000; a more spacious five-bedroom house over £725,000. There are some modern apartments on the south side, where a three-bedroom unit will cost £250,000 to £375,000. A farmers’ market is held once a month.
