Bedwyn

BEDWYN Above Bedwyn lie the great Saxon defensive ramparts of Chisbury Camp. Down by the Kennet and Avon canal towpath is the 1812 Crofton Pumping Station, which houses the two oldest steam engines in the world that are still doing the job for which they were designed: to raise the water level in the canal. A large four-bedroom Fifties’ house with a good garden in Great Bedwyn will cost around £550,000.
