Cheddington
CHEDDINGTON is a quiet little village, best known for the fact that the Great Train Robbery took place at the railway bridge just outside. Prices are similar to Tring’s and slightly higher than Leighton Buzzard’s. You could buy a four-bedroom detached house for £400,000 upwards; a three-bedroom Victorian semi for £285,000 upwards; or a substantial Georgian farmhouse for around £850,000.
Good for: being a quiet pocket of countryside.
