DENHAM and DENHAM GOLF CLUB If Denham had come straight out of the scenery department of the old Denham studios it couldn’t be more picturesque. Only 18 miles from London, it is a patch of rural peace – village hall, small green and a stream winding past wisteria-clad old brick. It would be perfect but for the pub visitors whose motors clog the lanes, accounting for the village’s sobriquet as ‘the prettiest car park in Buckinghamshire’.
