Appleford, Culham and Radley
APPLEFORD, CULHAM and RADLEY Appleford is little more than a halt with a string of bungalows threaded to the railway line beside a good pub. Long Wittenham is a village in two halves, old and new, and is convenient for those who want to use The European School at Culham, which was established for the children of people working at the research station there. Radley has more trains serving it than the other two halts, but it is a bit betwixt and between to be really sought after. Its main feature is Radley College, the boys’ public school.
