Clandon

CLANDON West Clandon and East Clandon both command very high prices. The station is at West Clandon, a linear village, part of which is protected as a conservation area, part devoted to council housing. Until 1900, East Clandon was solely an estate village attached to Hatchlands Park, a National Trust house with splendid Robert Adam interiors and gardens by Repton and Gertrude Jekyll. It is a very pretty village, with a traditional pub and a tennis court for the exclusive use of village residents. A Fifties’ four- or five-bedroom house in either village will cost over £750,000.
