Christ's Hospital
CHRIST’S HOSPITAL, hardly distinct from Horsham, is dominated by the public school, fondly known as CH by local people, which disgorges pupils in their distinctive blue and yellow uniform. Around it has grown a low-level brick settlement, largely 20th century, which looks to neighbouring Southwater for small-time shopping. It is a much sought-after area, with a disproportionately large railway station. A two-bedroom ex-farmer’s cottage in need of work might cost £200,000; a three-bedroom semi in good order would be more likely to cost £235,000.
